Está semana llego tarde la música, pero acá esta y hay cosas de ALTA calidad. En los rmxs tenemos a: DJ MANAIA, PANCE PARTY, SABOTAGE (de Italia) y de UNDERHALL (este rmx de PON DE FLOOR es uno de los mejor que he escuchado).

Esto me hace ruido últimamente y los conectamos de manera simple, los 3 actos andan sonando fuerte y constante, se codean en escenas similares (FABRIC, EssentialMixes, Annie Mac Minimixes) y caminan con paso firme por el underground turned mainstream road.
Empezamos con Fake Blood y su ESSMIX del mes pasado. Ya nos hacía falta una transfusión de sangre falsa y nasty de este faceless master. El don produce rmxs mega chisis que siempre te sacan una risa y te ponen a bailar, no te sueltan ni un ratito… El mix me late por 2 cosas,,, primero, la mamonería (en el buen sentido) de dividirlo en 2,, la primera hora para el club y la segunda para el after…me parece muy interesante poder conocer el lado mas reiver de Fake…a falta de verlo en vivo, este set de 2horas te da una buena idea.. Y el día anterior a su essmix, Fake compartió frecuencia con Caspa (acá la unión), en el GRAN MashUp show de Annie Mac. En 5 minutos, los diyeis más selectos logran comprimir sus fav tunes, mezclando todo tan bien y tan en chinga, que cuando termina te dejan en el antojo total. En su disquera Trouble & Bass (por cierto, que buen nombre) Drop the Lime sacó su nuevo sencillo Hear Me. Con rmxs de Buraka Som Sistema, AC Slater, The Touch (por cierto, que fino myspace) y Drums of Death! Este último mi favorito…todo el material está explosivo, como dicen ellos 100% HEAVY BASS!
Luca lleva un año sacando cosas nuevas, prácticamente cada mes…Interesante dude, no hay quien lo pare, su sonido mezcla de todo lo que hay en el menú: fidget/balt club/crunk/dancehall/dubstep, el slash ya a otro nivel. Acá un entrevista que le hizo XLR8R en el verano.

Kuduru significa literalemente Tight Ass! Sólo necesitas escucharlo y le entiendes perfectamente… Desde hace un año empezó a expandirse, y poco a poco llega a todos lados como exportación de lujo desde Angola.
El sonido comenzó hace 12 años con Tony Amando, lo describen como fast as techno, but groovy as zouk, the mixture is incredible and completely african. It’s contemporary like european electronic music scene, but with 100% african style and attitude.
Acá un video donde el mismo Tony explica los orígenes de género y cómo el nombre viene de Jean-Claude Van Damme. (white man’s dance).
El responsable de darlo a conocer al mundo fue Frederick Galliano con su Kuduru Sound System. Acá una buena entrevista donde explica cómo se estructura el sonido kuduru y sus viajes a Angola para practicar con Kito da Machina y grabar con kudoristas como Gata Agressiva, Zoca Zoca y Dog Murras.

Hace dos años Switch y Sinden comenzaron a hacer una fiesta bismensual en el fabriclive, la llamaron Get Familiar. Creo que el nombre lo dice todo, get familiar con todo lo que estos brothers traen bajo el brazo.
En su momento Sinden lo describió como “It’s anything-goes eclectic club music blaze of the best in everything forward-thinking party- from the booty popping sounds of Baltimore Club Music and Rio’s Baile Funk to JA’s upfront Dancehall riddims, hyperactive Hip Hop to House/Electro and everything that’s good in-between. Expect familiar DJ face and live bands at the top of their game to kick it alongside the hottest up and coming acts from around the world, as well as over-lookes scene legends”.
Creo que después de eso no se puede decir mucho. La fiesta a presentado todo lo que prometía cada 2 meses y más. Si algo ha causado estragos ha pasado por Get Familiar, to name a few, Buraka Som Sistema, Kid Sister, Spank Rock, Plastic Little, Kool Keith, Boy Better Know, South Rakkas Crew, Bonde Do Role, DJ Funk, A-Trak, Toddla T, The Rub, Diplo, Hot Chip, The Heatwave, Sany Pitbull, Dexplicit y DJ Assault.
Todos, actos ultra frescos e hyper propositivos, cada uno de ellos vale la checada, y contamos con material de la mayoría aca en antidomingo. Largo y extenso hype al fidget!
El album sale el 01 de diciembre en UK y el 13 de enero en US. El tracklist después del jump, un video de Sinden hablando de Buraka en Get Familiar y unos RMXS.
